About The Role:
Absinthe Labs is seeking our first in-house DevOps Engineer. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- GitHub Actions: Automate builds for repositories using GitHub Actions, streamlining the development and deployment processes.
- Google Cloud Triggers: Set up and manage Google Cloud Triggers for automating builds within the Google Cloud environment.
- Build Configurations: Create and maintain Dockerfile, cloud-build.yml, and similar build configuration files to ensure consistent and reliable builds across different environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to import our current Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure into code, and establish a staging project on GCP for testing and validation purposes.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including running tests before allowing branch merges, to maintain code quality and minimize the risk of introducing errors.
- Logging and Monitoring: Set up comprehensive logging and monitoring systems using tools like DataDog to gain insights into system performance, identify potential issues, and ensure the overall health of our infrastructure.
- API Security: Apply best practices in securing API endpoints, determining which endpoints should require authentication and which can be accessed without authentication, to maintain the security and integrity of our systems.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional DevOps experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby).
- Extensive experience with infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform.
