About The Role:

Absinthe Labs is seeking our first in-house DevOps Engineer. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. GitHub Actions: Automate builds for repositories using GitHub Actions, streamlining the development and deployment processes.
  2. Google Cloud Triggers: Set up and manage Google Cloud Triggers for automating builds within the Google Cloud environment.
  3. Build Configurations: Create and maintain Dockerfile, cloud-build.yml, and similar build configuration files to ensure consistent and reliable builds across different environments.
  4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to import our current Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure into code, and establish a staging project on GCP for testing and validation purposes.
  5. CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including running tests before allowing branch merges, to maintain code quality and minimize the risk of introducing errors.
  6. Logging and Monitoring: Set up comprehensive logging and monitoring systems using tools like DataDog to gain insights into system performance, identify potential issues, and ensure the overall health of our infrastructure.
  7. API Security: Apply best practices in securing API endpoints, determining which endpoints should require authentication and which can be accessed without authentication, to maintain the security and integrity of our systems.
